Key Responsibilities:
Greet everyone with a kind word and a smile. Please stand near the front entryway, either outside the door or right inside the door.
Please arrive to your post 30 mins before the start of service.
You will look for new attendees and direct them to the Connect Table
You need to remain at the door until at least 15 minutes past the service start time to greet late arrivers. Often, those arriving late are in most need of a smiling face and a kind word. Please don’t leave your post early and miss an opportunity to make a difference in someone’s day.
After the service, return to your door post. If you are serving for the first service, you will be the transition person until the second service Door Hosts arrive.
The biggest and best impression we can make is to make people feel welcome! The worst thing we can do is to let someone come into church and leave without being spoken to.

Key Responsibilities:
Greet everyone with a kind word and a smile. Please stand near the entryways to the sanctuary, either in the doorway or right outside the door.
Service hosts will hand out sermon notes & worship guides These papers will be located in the plastic holder on the front of the sound booth just inside the center door to the service area. You are welcome to take as many of the guides and notes you need in order to not run out.
There are three Service Hosts scheduled for each service.
Service Hosts need to be visible from the lobby and stationed near the doors to the sanctuary.
One service host should be at each of the three doors to the sanctuary at all times. Be on the lookout for first-time attendees who may be hesitant about where to enter.
Remember, you are volunteering to make attendees feel at home, feel welcome, and feel appreciated. While it is fun and tempting to visit with your family and friends while serving, remember to intentionally engage directly with attendees throughout your time of serving.
At the start of the service, as the countdown reaches 0.00, right at the start of the announcements time, please close the doors to the sanctuary to cut down on the noise from the lobby area intruding upon the announcements.
Once service begins be prepared to help with spills or anything else that may take place in the sanctuary.
Taking attendance: There will be a sheet of paper located in the plastic holder on the front sound booth wall for you to record the attendance count. Wait until kids are dismissed to classes before taking attendance in the service. Once everyone is settled, take a count in the sanctuary. Remember to include sound techs, those in the band, people in the lobby, those serving on the First Impressions team, Security team members, those checking in Freshwater Kids, and anyone else that may not be seated in the main room.
At the end of the service, you, as a service host, are to hold the offering baskets at the exit doors of the service. Each of the three service hosts should take a basket from the sound booth wall and hold it at one of the three doors for departing attendees to drop in their offering. Cover all departing guests by holding a basket at each of the three exit doors.
Two of the three service hosts together will take the offerings to the safe in the admin office and deposit them. Please place the offering in one of the plastic envelopes and deposit it in the safe. If you are serving for first service, return the three empty offering baskets to the sound booth wall. If you are serving for the second service, place the three empty baskets on top of the safe in the admin office.

Key Responsibilities:
Greet everyone with a kind word and a smile. Please stand inside the sanctuary at the back near the entryways to the sanctuary.
There are three Aisle Hosts scheduled for each service.
Aisle Hosts need to be visible to attendees as they arrive at the back of the seating area in the sanctuary.
One aisle host should be at the back near each of the three doors to the sanctuary at all times in order for the three aisle hosts to handle seating needs throughout the entire sanctuary.
Be on the lookout for first-time attendees who may be hesitant about where to sit.
For those guests who stop and are looking for a place to sit, offer to take them to seats and take them to seats if they are receptive.
During times when the services are well-attended, please take guests to a row and ask people to move over to make room near the isles for the guests you are escorting.
Simply asking those to move over “so I can seat this family or person” is courteous and well-received.
If you have a large family to seat, you may need to ask fellow Freshwater Partners to move to another row to accommodate the family.
You need to be proactive in approaching people that are coming in late. A quick “Can I find you a seat?” would be adequate.
Remember, it is really hard for those late arriving guests to see open seats while attendees are standing and singing. They need your help to find seats quickly.
After the last song and all the kids leave the sanctuary you are free to find a spot and listen to the message.
Before and after the service, please check the chairs and straighten up any chairs out of alignment.
Before and after the service pick up any leftover cups and trash and place in the trash cans to keep the sanctuary free of clutter.
After the service ends, please be available in your aisles to assist anyone with special needs such as those in wheelchairs, those using walkers, those on crutches, etc.
